Project Description

3D quantity verification and consistency control on tender

The Danish Prison and Probation Service has replaced the 150 years old state prison Vridsløse with a new prison. The new prison will accommodate 250 inmates on 34.896 m² and employ 250-300 government officials. It is located by Gundslev on Northern Falster and was finalized in 2017.

LM Byg brought us in for the tender. Our job was to verify the quantities from the 3D model listed in the offer to ensure a correct contractual basis with the client.

We also completed a thorough evaluation of the constructability of the project in the 3D model to predict and handle the challenges that might occur in the building core.

We are often brought in on a project to scrutinize the model material for consistency and constructability in all the different phases of the project by both contractors and clients. To ensure the best results, we are often a part of the dialogue with all parties to handle any challenges that we uncover in our preliminary assessment. This results in significant risk reduction.
